Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year from Karen and I. What a great time of the year to come together and worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Today we are celebrating His birth with our Church Family and Guests. If Karen and I were to begin to tell how much we have been blessed by being a part of Unity MBC, there would not be enough room in this whole bulletin. You have blessed us with the privilege to feel at home here at Unity. You have cared for us beyond measure. We praise you for allowing us to be here with you now for almost six years.

We could go on and on, but the real reason we are so blessed is because of that little baby, born in that small stable over two thousand years ago. For starting His church and allowing us to be a part of it. As we celebrate this special occasion, let us never forget the true meaning for this season. JESUS IS THE REASON. For without Jesus there is no reason at all to celebrate. There would be no reason to worship, no reason to sing, no reason to preach. There would be no Hope, Faith, or Charity. No reason to love one another. Think about how worst off this world would be if there was no Jesus. So, today and everyday let us be thankful for our Lord and Savior, who left the portals of glory, came in the form of a man called Jesus, lived, suffered, died, and rose again to give us hope.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!!!! Isn't it great to be able to celebrate the birth of our Savior. To have the freedom to choose to or not to. This Christmas remember it's not in the gifts you will receive or give, but it's in the greatest gift ever given, Jesus Christ. A gift that could never be bought, nor could anyone ever pay the cost. It cost the world nothing, but cost God everything. Christmas is not about gifts but about love. For if God had not love the world and given us His only Son born of a virgin in a small town called Bethlehem, there would be no reason to have Christmas. So as you celebrate this Christmas take a little time to think about the Love of God toward you. If you have never received this great free gift, then I invite you today to accept Christ as your Savior and receive a gift that will keep on giving for all eternity. It is your choice. Love to all and to all God bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This morning there will not be any Sunday School at Unity, we will be having Singing at 10:00 followed by our Worship Services. Come join us and let us praise and worship the true meaning of Christmas.

What Each One Did

In the rude stable cold,
The friendly beasts their stories told:
"I," said the dondey, shaggy and brown,

"Carried His mother up hill and down,
Carried her safely to Bethlehem town."
"I," said the cow all white and red,
"Gave Him my manger for His bed,
Gave Him my hay to pillow His head."

"I," said the sheep, with the curly horn,
"Gave Him my wool for His blanket warm,
He wore my coat on Christmas Morn."
"I," said the camel, all yelow and black,
"Over the desert, upon my back,
Brought Him a gift in the Wise Men's pack."
"I," said the dove, "from the rafter high,
Cooed Him to sleep, that he should not cry,
We cooed Him to sleep, my mate and I."
In the stable darkness, was able to tell
Of the gift he gave to Emmanuel.

Why He Was Laid in a Manger

Thank God, none are too bad or too low-down to take Jesus Christ into their hearts. There was once a drunkard who wakened one morning in a strange kind of bed, feeling something near him warm and soft. Finally it dawned on him that he was in a stable close beside a cow. He laughed grimly as he thought of breakfast. In his mind he went over those who might be persuaded to help him with a meal. "No, I can't ask any of them, they would say I have fallen too low." Then he heard the bells ringing and began to realize it was Christmas Day. "What was that story about shepherds - the angels - and a manger?" Well, he wasn't the first one who had slept in a stable. He thought, "Maybe the reason He slept in a manger was so He could help a fellow like me - a fellow too low for anyone to help." There and then the poor outcast knelt and prayed the prayer of the publican, "God, be merciful to me a sinner."

It Goes Deeper Than The Hands

This is a story of a colored man who came to a watchmaker and gave him the hands of a clock, saying, "I want yer to fix up dese hans. Dey jes' doan' keep no mo' kerrec' time mo den six monfs." "Where is the clock?" answered the watchmaker. "Out at de house on Injun Creek." "But I must have the clock." "Didn't I tell yer dar's nuffin' de matter wid de clock 'ceptin' de hans? And I done brought em' to you. You jes want the clock so you can tinker with it and charge me a big price. Gimme back dem hans." And so saying, he went off to find some reasonable watchmaker. Foolish as he was, his caution is very like that of those who try to regulate their lives without being made right on the inside. And their reason for not putting themselves into the hands of the Lord is very similar to the reason the colored man gave. They are afraid the price will be too great. They say, "We only wish to avoid this or that habit." But the Master Workman says, "I can't regulate the hands unless I have the heart."
