What Is Your Heart's Desire?

What a week! It was Church Camp week at Budd Creek near Geers Ferry, AR. 13 churches present, 197 registered campers, of whom 17 were 6 and under. 32 came to know Jesus as Savior and many other lives changed.
How come so many are saved at camp? Is it because of pressure? Or, is it because there is a desire to see people saved at camp. Churches bring children of all ages, races, and conditions. There is a great desire to see people to come to an encounter with Jesus. The world is shut out. No TV, no video games, just a constant reminder three times a day that Jesus Saves and He is willing to save them. A lot of adults needs this kind of week where the world is shut out from them and all week all they here is about Jesus.
This morning we will be looking at a subject entitled "What Is Your Heart's Desire?" Many people have all kinds of desires, but what is your desires? Come join us at 9:45 for Sunday School and 10:45 for worship! Pray I see you there and you have an encounter with Jesus today!!!!!!!

No Room

My gracious Master knocked one day
Upon my heart's closed door.
He longed to come up and sup with me
As He had supped before.
I bade Him enter, but He said,
"I see no room, today."
And with a sad reproachful look,
He turned and went away

Dismayed I looked within my heart--
Unlovely things were there.
For a while I slept the enemy
Had entered unaware.
I saw a root of bitterness,
Of envy, wrath and pride,
And for my Lord no room was left,
So fast they multiplied.

I Prayed, "O Father, cleanse my heart,"
And hearing this my prayer

The devil fled, nor left he ought--
He feared to tarry there.
My Lord no longer knocks without,
Sweet fellowship have we,
For naught impure, unholy, stands
Between my Lord and me.

Christmas in July

Good Morning Unity and Community:
First, let me apologize for not posting my usual Sunday morning post. Not going to make excuses, just simple laziness on my part. But hopefully I'm back. Please pray for me as I will be at Church Camp at Buud Creek in Geers Ferry this wee. I am the director for the Lonoke Baptist Camp. Also this week I will be the evening evangelist Monday through Thursday nights. Pray for the salvation of lost souls. We start each night at 7:30.
Is it HOT enough for you? Ever think about Christmas in July? Well today at Unity we will be doing just that. Today, we look at Luke 2:1-7. Joseph and Mary are looking for a place for her to give birth to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. But there seem to be no room for them. As in those days people were busy taking care of the world (paying their taxes) and there seem to be no room. So it is today, people seem to have "No Room For Jesus." How much room does He have in your heart and life?
Come join us at 9:45 for Sunday School and 10:45 for Praise and Worship!!!

Have Courage, My Boy, to Say "No"

Have Courage, My Boy, to Say "No"
You're starting, my boy on life's journey,
Along the grand highway of life;
You'll meet with a thousand temptations
Each city with evil rife;
This world is a stage of excitement,
There's danger wherever you go,
But if you are tempted in weakness,
Have courage, my boy, to say, "No."

The bright ruby wine may be offered,
No matter how tempting it be,
From poison it stings like an adder:
My boy, have courage to flee.
The billiard saloons are inviting,
Decked out in their tinsel and show;
But if you are tempted to enter,
Have courage, my boy, to say, "No."

In courage alone lies your safety,
When you the long journey begin;
Your trust in the Heavenly Father
Will keep you unspotted from sin,
Temptations will keep on increasing,
As streams from a rivulet flow;
But if you'd be true to your manhood,
Have courage, my boy, to say, "No."

"And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." (Genesis 2:18) God's plan for the family was for a man to have a wife (woman) For him to love her, cherish her, and honor her until death. Therefore, Jesus said, "And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Matthew 19:5-6) Forty-one (41) years ago today I married my "help mate." She has been with me through the thick and the thin. We have seen the better and the worst. Some may say that we have even been through the fire. When Karen faced cancer, I was there. When I faced heart problems, she was there. She is my greatest friend, the love of my life, my encourager, my shoulder to cry on, and my joy. There is none better than her. I just wanted today to say it publicly that I LOVE YOU KAREN INGLE now and forever, even if death should part us I will still love you.

Love Always,
