What If Your Bible Could Talk

"The Top Five Things Every Bible Should Be Able to Say About It's Owner!"

1. My owner knows the Author (John 1:12).
2. My owner believes my teachings (2 Timothy 3:15-16).
3. My owner delights in my instruction (Psalm 119:16).
4. My owner has hidden me in his heart (Psalm 119:11).
5. My owner obeys my teaching because he loves the Lord Jesus (John 14:15).

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away" (Matthew 24:35).

Good Morning Unity and Community;
Easter, how do you celebrate this day? Many will celebrate it with family and friends. Some will do the traditional thing and hunt Easter eggs. Some will only be concerned about the fun they will have being around certain people. Very little thought will go into the real reason for celebrating Easter. Most will never think about the sufferings that Christ went through for them. Some will not even consider how special a day this is. But for others it will be one of the most joyous days in the life of a Christian. Joyous, because it gives us our hope. Yes, we trust in what Jesus did for us at Calvary. But, without the resurrection, Calvary would be meaningless. Because of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, we have a hope that only a child of God can possess. We have something that gives us strength to carry on in this world, because we know that come either death or the return of Jesus Christ, we have hope of a glorious day when we will all see not only our loved one, but get to see Jesus face to face. Because we have a risen Savior, we can sing to the top of our lungs that the "King is Coming!" Is He coming for you? Do you have hope because of the resurrection? Is Easter really a special day in your life? If not, then prepare to meet your God because THE KING IS COMING AGAIN!!!

The Conqueror

No matter how the storms may rage
Upon the sea of life,
No matter how the waves may beat,
No matter what the strife,
The Lord is just the same today
As when He walked the sea,
And He can conquer every storm
That life may send to thee.

The waves are raging everywhere
And men are sore distressed,
But all they need is found in Him
Who giveth perfect rest;
So cast your care upon the Lord,
Whose strength will never fail;
He calms the waves fro your frail bark,
His power will 'er prevail.

April Is Here

Good Morning Unity and Community;
April is here. It is the month in which we celebrate one of the greatest events in the life of Christ. It is also the climax of victory for the child of God. Because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we as born again believers have a hope that all others don't have. Jesus, on the day of resurrection, guaranteed us victory over death, hell, and the grave. It is a time of rejoicing.
As we approach Easter Sunday, we are going to look at a couple of events preceding this marvelous event. Today we will look at His triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Come and witness this event as recorded by Luke. Services begin at 10:45 for Worship. We would love for you to join us for Sunday School at 9:45. Also, this morning is coffee and donuts at 9:00. Come join us for fellowship, study, and worship.

Spring Break Has Come and Gone

Good Morning Unity and Community;
Spring break has come and gone. I pray everyone had a great time with family and friends. Now its time to get back to normal life. Why not start that time by being in the Lord's church today? Come have a Spiritual renewal and prepare for what lies ahead. Jesus said, "Fret not thyself of the things of tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself." (paraphrased) We may not know what lies ahead for us, but there is one thing we can know, that whatever there is ahead of us Jesus is already there. Jesus promised that He would "never leave us nor forsake us." Will you face tomorrow with Jesus beside you, watching over you, and caring for you? To know Him by a head knowledge is just to know about Him. To know Him by a heart experience is to have Him. Do you have Him today? Come this morning to Unity MBC in DeWitt at 10:45 and hear more about how to have a heart experience.
