"And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." (Genesis 2:18) God's plan for the family was for a man to have a wife (woman) For him to love her, cherish her, and honor her until death. Therefore, Jesus said, "And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Matthew 19:5-6) Forty-one (41) years ago today I married my "help mate." She has been with me through the thick and the thin. We have seen the better and the worst. Some may say that we have even been through the fire. When Karen faced cancer, I was there. When I faced heart problems, she was there. She is my greatest friend, the love of my life, my encourager, my shoulder to cry on, and my joy. There is none better than her. I just wanted today to say it publicly that I LOVE YOU KAREN INGLE now and forever, even if death should part us I will still love you.

Love Always,

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns,
As eveyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It sems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seem afar,
So stick to the flight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worse that you mustn't quit.

Good Morning Unity, Friends, and Community;
what a wonderful day the Lord has provided us today. Sunshine, cooler temperatures, and lower humidity. Makes a person feel better inside and out. But, what about those times when it is cloudy, rainy, and maybe even a storm? Life can be the same way. Sometimes we feel great and sometimes we feel bad. Our spiritual lives can be the same way also. Usually, there is a reason for this. Sometimes we allow circumstances to dictate the way our spiritual live operate. Sometimes endurance is one of the most difficult things to maintain. Sometimes we seem to want to give up and quit. In order to keep running the race with endurance and patience we must remain focus. The Hebrew writer put it this way, "Looking unto Jesus...." Is our lives determined by what goes on around us or by Who is in us? Our attitude determines our actions and our outlook determines out outcome. If Jesus is the center of our lives and our focus, then no matter what goes on around us it doesn't effect our spiritual life.
This morning we will be looking at our message on "Endurance" from Hebrews 12:1-4. Sunday School begins at 9:45 and Worship at 11:45. Come join us. Following our services we will be having our Birthday and Anniversary fellowship. Then we will assemble back and have and afternoon of singing our favorite hymns. Come and receive a blessing.

Only A Dad

"Only a dad with a tired face,
Coming home from the daily race,
Bringing little of gold or fame,
To show how well he has played the game,
But glad in his heart that his own rejoice,
To see him home and hear his voice.

"Only a dad of a brood of four,
One of ten million men or more,
Plodding along in the daily strife,
Bearing the whips and scorns of life,
With never a whimper of pain or hate,
For the sake of those who at home do wait!

"Only a dad, neither rich nor proud,
Merely one of the surging crowd,
Toiling, striving, from day to day,
Facing whatever may come his way,
Silent whenever the harsh condemn,
And bearing it all for the love of them!

"Only a dad, but he gives his all,
To smooth the way for his children small,
Doing with courage stern and grim,
The deeds that his father did for him.
This is the line that for him I pen:
Only a dad, BUT THE BEST OF MEN!"

Fathers' Day

Good Morning Unity and Community;
Father's Day! Happy Father's Day to all the fathers in our community. I pray you have a great day. Why not start that day off by going and taking your family to church. A father must be the leader of his family, both physically and spiritually. There are "daddies" and there are fathers. Any man can be a daddy but it takes a real man to be a father. A father is one who cares for and provides for his household. He provides the things they need in this life. He also provides guidance and leads them to prepare themselves for the next life. A so-called father who does not care about their household's spiritual life is only half a father.We need men today who will man up and become the fathers they need to be. We need fathers today who be set a good example before their family, not by words but by action. We need father who will show their children what love is all about. Show them that you can disagree with someone and not show hatred toward them. A Father who tells his family that he loves them everyday. Fathers, what your children see you do will have more impact on their lives than what you tell them. Children in the neighborhood will see and hear the thing you do and say. Remember someone is always watching you, and you may never know who it is.
Come this morning to Unity MBC where everyone is welcome to come and worship. We invite any and everyone to come. Just as Jesus said, 'Come unto me all you that are week and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." If you are carry around a heavy load, Jesus want to carry that load for you. Come this morning and meet the One who can remove that burden. Just come as you are. Race, color, nationality, where or how you live, how much money you have, means nothing to us. We at Unity just want you to come and worship with us. We have Sunday School at 9:45 and Worship at 10:45. Hope and pray we see you there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
