My Guide

The open door of another year
I've entered by gace divine;
No ills I fear and no foes I dread,
For a wonderful Guide is mine.
Throught joy or chastening though He lead,
In tears through my race be run,
Whate'er my lot, this prayer shall be,
"Not mine, but Thy will be done."

I walk by faith in my heav'nly Guide,
With fearless, unfaltering tread,
Assured that He, who appoints my days,
Will daily provide my bread.
He'll send more grace should affliction come,
And a staff for the pathway steep,
While o'er me ever by night and day
My Father His watch will keep.

With perfect trust in His love and care,
I'll walk to my journey's end;
And day by day He will strength renew,
And peace to my heart will send.
O blessed Guide, walking all unseen,
Yet close to my side alway.
Do Thou, who guides my steps aright,
Lead on to eternal day!

New Year's Eve

Dear Unity and Community:
Tomorrow is a special day. It is the first day of 2017. It is also the first day of the week, and this is what makes it so special. It is the day that we GET TO COME TOGETHER as Brothers and Sisters in Christ to worship our God and Father in Heaven who came to the earth in the form of Jesus Christ who be came our Savior. What better thing can we do tomorrow than to meet in His church and study His Word, sing Praises to Him, and most of all worship Him.
Let me challenge you to make a commitment to Him to be in His church Tomorrow and every Sunday in 2017. If you are looking for a church to attend, let me encourage you to come and give Unity a try. I promise you will be made to feel at home and be loved more than any other church you have ever attended. Our services begin at 9:45 for Sunday School and 10:45 for Worship.We have a place for one and all. If you will commit to coming 6 weeks in a row I promise you will want to stay.
May God bless all of you in 2017 both Physically and Spiritually.
Bro. Dennis Ingle,
Pastor

Christmas

Christmas time is usually a time of giving of gifts to those to whom you love and appreciate. For many of us the idea of buying gifts for all those we love and appreciate can be burdensome, if not impossible. A lot of people become depressed during this time of year for that very reason. But is Christmas really about buying and receiving of gifts? This may be what the world portrays it to be. But, when you look at the real meaning and purpose of Christmas, it is about receiving only one gift. The Shepherds were told by the angels to go into Bethlehem because, "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." "Unto you, " Christ was given unto us. He was God's gift to mankind. God loved mankind. So think about Christmas this way. God has given the only gift that man needs. He has given to us a Savior, because He loves us and because we needed one. Let us never forget the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus is the Reason and He is our Hope!!!!!
Merry Christmas,
Bro. Dennis

Christmas Eve Facebook Post

Unity and Community;
I want to take time to wish all of those on Facebook a very Merry Christmas. As we celebrate this day as the birth of a Savior, I pray that He truly is your Savior. Some who claim Him to be their Savior whom they should love more than anything or anyone will not even go to Church tomorrow to celebrate His birthday. If we really love Him, should we not be willing to show it by putting Him first on His Day. We get mad and even throw a fit if some one missing coming to celebrate our birthday, but it's okay to miss His. I love being with family as much as anyone else, but Jesus comes first. What did Jesus say, "If anyone is not willing to forsake father, mother, brother, and sister, he is not worthy to follow me."
I challenge all of you to go to the Lord's house tomorrow and celebrate His Birth. If your church is not having services, (shame on them) then come to our Worship service at Unity at 9:45 as we gather to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Jesus loved you enough to give up the glory of Heaven and come and die for you, can't we give an hour to come and celebrate Him. I pray that this touches your heart and cause you to celebrate our Savior's birth the way He would.
May you have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous and happy new year, both physically and spiritually.

Startling Contrast

This little message the editor discovered a few years ago in a tract. We want to share it with you. "Jesus Christ was born in the meanest circumstances, but the air above was filled with the hallelujahs of the heavenly host. His lodging was a cattle pen, but a star drew distinguished visitants from afar to His house to pay Him homage. His birth was contrary to the laws of life. His death was contrary to the laws of death. No miracle is so inexplicable as His teaching. He had no cornfields or fisheries, but He could spread a table for 5,000 and have bread and fishes to spare... Three years He preached His Gospel. He wrote no books, built no curch buildings, had no money back of Him. After 2,000 years, He is the one central character of human history, the perpetual theme of all preaching, the pivot around which the events of the age revolve, the only regenerator of the human race. Was it merely the son of Joseph and Mary who crossed the world's horizon 2,000 yeas ago? Was it merely human blood that spilled on Calvary's hill for the redemption of sinners, and which has worked wonders in men and nations through the centuries? What thinking man can keep from exclaiming, 'My Lord and my God!'"
