Failures of the Flesh

Good Morning Unity and Community;
Does the flesh let you down? Does the things of life seem to hard to bear? Do you have a struggle between the flesh and the Spirit? Well don't feel like your all along. Paul even face these struggles. In Romans 7:18 he reminds us, "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not." In Philippians 3:2-7 We find Paul addressing this problem about the failures of the flesh. Come this morning to Unity and hear the rest of the story.
Coffee and Donuts at 9:00. Also, this evening at 6:00, the Southern Gospel trio "Heirline" will be here in concert. Everyone is welcome to come. Come and worship with us this morning and come back tonight for a time of singing.

Rejoice in the Lord

Good morning Unity and Community;
Ever have troubling rejoicing in the Lord? It is easy most times when things are going good, but what about the times when things go bad? This can be one of the most difficult times to rejoice. But even in difficult times, rejoicing can take place. How can this be? Well, If we have given it all to the Lord and laid it all at His feet, we can rejoice because now it becomes His problem and not ours. He is in control of all things and nothing happens unless He allows it to happen. We cannot control how things will always turn out but He can. Rejoicing comes when we allow God to work and we just sit back and praise Him for what He is about to do!
Come this morning to Unity at 10:45 to get the rest of the story and to see how you can rejoice in difficult times. Would love to see you there. I promise you will be welcomed and made to feel you are loved and at home. May God bless!!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of influence do you have on people?

Good Morning Unity and Community;
What kind of influence do you have on people? do they see the good in you which glorifies God? Or do they see things that are not pleasing unto God? What kind of influence does your church have in the community? Is it a church that teaches the truth of the God's Word or is it one with a watered downed man pleasing message?
Today at Unity we will be looking at what kind of influence should a church have in its community and world. Paul say we are living in a crooked and perverse generation and that we should be a light unto it. Come today to Unity at 10:45 for "the rest of the story!"

I spoke a word
And no one heard;
I wrote a word
And no one cared
Or seemed to heed.
But after half a score of years
It blossomed in a fragrant deed.
Preachers and teachers all are we,
Sowers of seed unconsciously,
Our hearers are beyond our ken,
Yet all we give may come again
With usury of joy and pain;
We never know
To what one little word may grow.
See to it, then that all your seeds
Be such as bring forth noble deeds.

Faithful Servants

Good Morning Unity and Community;
Being a servant of the Lord may not always be the easiest thing to do. It takes dedication, submission, and faithfulness. The Bible is full of examples of servants of the Lord.
Take Timothy for example. Timothy's faithfulness did not start after He became an adult. It did not start when he was a teenager. Timothy's faithfulness and service begin when he was born. He had a godly mother and grandmother who taught him from birth.
Look at Epaphroditus, Paul called him a brother, a companion in labor, and a fellowsolider. Epaphroditus was a man concerned about God's missionary, about his church. and about others. Not once do we find where his concerns about himself were put before the Lord's work. If only the pastors and members of the Lord's churches today had the same attitude toward service, faithfulness, and dedication.
I invite you to come this morning to Unity this morning at 10:45 and find out more about these two faithful servants.
